Started with a Dream, Grown with Every Reader

CNBA OnlineBooks began as a small passion project in a modest shop in Chennai. Our founder, driven by a deep love for literature and the belief that every person deserves access to quality books, set up the first shelves in 2010 at Shop 7, Coastal Business Arcade, Besant Nagar.

What started as a local neighbourhood bookshop quickly evolved into an online platform as readers from across Tamil Nadu and beyond began placing orders. By 2015, we had expanded our catalogue to over 20,000 titles and begun delivering to all major Indian cities.

Today, CNBA OnlineBooks is a trusted name in the Indian online book retail space — with over 50,000 titles, partnerships with 500+ publishers, and more than one lakh satisfied customers across India.

2010

The Beginning

CNBA opens its doors at Shop 7, Coastal Business Arcade, Besant Nagar, Chennai with an initial collection of 2,000 books and a passionate team of 4.

2013

Going Digital

We launch our first website and begin accepting online orders across Tamil Nadu. Our digital catalogue grows to 10,000 books within the first year online.

2016

Pan-India Delivery

We partner with major logistics providers to enable doorstep delivery across all 28 states of India, reaching readers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities for the first time.

2019

50,000 Customers Milestone

We celebrate serving 50,000 customers and expand our catalogue to 30,000+ titles. Launch dedicated sections for competitive exam books and academic texts.
